Embark on an unforgettable journey into the realm of shark science! Join Nova researchers on an immersive expedition off the shores of Fort Lauderdale/Dania.. Perfect for aspiring marine biologists aged 8 and above, with participants under 16 requiring parental supervision. Experience firsthand the thrill of tagging, measuring, and gathering data on these magnificent creatures alongside seasoned scientists. Reserve your spot today. Cost is per person (student and/or adult).

Shark Tagging Participant
Adults must pay for the place on the boat. Student can use PEP/FES-UA funding only if they are awarded and currently have funding in their account to cover the expense. After you register with the PEP option here, you must login to SUFS.org and search Surf Skate Science in the EMA portal then select the $150 course fee and $25 registration fee then email us to secure your space. If you are awarded but not yet funded you must prepay and submit for reimbursement from Step Up once funded.

Donate to the Scholarship Fund
Add a donation to help us expose low-income students to marine science by donating to our scholarship fund. All funding will go to off-setting future trip costs for students ages 10-17 who would never get the opportunity to shark tag given their financial, family, or cultural circumstances and help us close the STEM gap for underserved students.
