About
Get ready for an unforgettable semester with Calculated Creativity—where math, art, and action sports collide to spark innovation, imagination, and movement! This dynamic program invites students to explore the science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) behind skateboarding and surfing while tapping into their creative side. Through hands-on projects and real-world challenges, students will design custom skateboards, create unique surfboard art, and dive into the physics and geometry that make tricks and waves possible. In this 14-week journey, participants will: Learn the math of motion through ramps, waves, and skatepark designs. Explore artistic expression with recycled materials, bold graphics, and DIY zines. Develop problem-solving skills as they tackle engineering challenges like building catapults or designing eco-friendly surf gear. Stay active with weekly sessions at the skatepark and beach, blending physical education with creative thinking. Designed for kids who love movement, creativity, and learning, Calculated Creativity is more than a class—it’s an adventure where every student becomes a designer, scientist, and athlete. Parents will love how this program blends STEAM learning with physical activity, building critical 21st-century skills like resilience, collaboration, and innovation in a fun and supportive environment.
